Dont Give Them More Power Than They Deserve

a new montra that was recently adopted by the wife and i is this:.

dont give them more power than they deserve.. here's why i say that, and i point this to those of you still in the congregation, still trying to decide what you want to do.. recently, our family had a little family reunion gathering of sorts, and we were in the company of some extended family that were either df or da, to varying degrees.

we made it very clear, to any and all in attendance, that we wanted to be respectful and kind, despite any previous perceptions about our "status".... and that our feelings on a lot of things had "softened", and "changed" over the last 2 years.. i am being purposefully slightly vague, but i think you get the point.

About 15 years ago I was invited to stands before a judicial committee the charge was: speaking against the organization, I asked them to put it in writing they refused, I then proceeded to write a short document stating the nature of the charge and the request to appear before the committee and asked them to sign it they refused, I requested to have my lawyer present which was denied and told I could not bring any recording devices to the said meeting.

I went because I was just starting to learn TTAT but today it is a different story because I would refused to attend under those despicable conditions. I think it far better to make up your own rules in dealing with this authoritarian cult or better yet don't have any rules to follow when dealing with this cult after all, 'all is fair in love and in war'.

Warwick Polution

has there been any discussion about why jehovah would guide his people to a polluted property to build their world headquarters?

I'm thinking the Governing Body in their end of the world short sightedness and rush to get out of Dodge and move to the boonies bought the property without a in depth soil testing and that some time after they bought the property and while developing it they found the contamination which was then reported to the Environmental Agency in 2012.

They probably knew the potential for it being polluted property but chose to keep a blind eye to this potential and hoped that no contamination would be found and for this reason they did not do a thorough soil testing.

This seems to be a pattern with them buying property around the world. They are looking for quick fixes and cheap real estate which they can latter sell when the lawsuits start mounting up in one country after another. They are in a rush to get money and make profits$$$$ and so they are acting very carelessly with the Lord's money so to speak.

I expect from this point on carelessness to even increase as they grasp a financial straws to save them from going down for the 3rd time.

Someone should call the WT and ask them for a comment about the situation and ask them if they did their due diligence before buying the property or if they just felt wishfully Jehovah would guide them someway and failed to do due diligence trusting in him.

WARWICK - The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society is suing International Nickel and several of its affiliates, which it accuses of contaminating land where the religious group is now building its massive 1.6 million-square-foot world headquarters.
The 252-acre property on Kings Drive was previously owned by International Nickel, which operated a research and development site and a foundry there between the mid-1960s and mid-1980s. Watchtower, better known as Jehovah’s Witnesses, purchased the property in 2009.
In the lawsuit, filed in federal court in New York's Southern District, Watchtower says International Nickel operated a wastewater treatment plant at the site to handle effluent, and also owned underground tanks to store fuel and other hazardous material.
Watchtower claims that International Nickel discharged petroleum, including oils containing polychlorinated byphenyls - or PCBs - into the wastewater treatment plant, and into the soil and groundwater, thereby contaminating the environment at the property. PCBs, which are probable human carcinogens, according to the Environmental Protection Agency, were banned in the United States in 1979.
Watchtower is in the process of building offices, apartments to house 1,000 adults, a cafeteria, a vehicle-maintenance building, an infirmary and a parking garage in Warwick. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.
Watchtower’s lawsuit says International Nickel failed to clean up the environmental problems it created during decades in Warwick. The suit also names International Nickel’s parent company, Vale Americas Inc., and its affiliates, including Vale Canada Limited, Precision Castparts Corp., and Special Metals Corporation.
Watchtower could not immediately be reached for comment. A spokesman for Vale said the company hadn’t been served yet and therefore had no comment.
It wasn’t clear when Watchtower discovered the contamination. The suit says Watchtower contacted the state Department of Environmental Conservation about the pollution in 2012 and '13, and has been cleaning the property under the direction of the DEC.
Watchtower is seeking unspecified reimbursement for the cost it has incurred in the cleanup and remediation. It is also seeking damages, restitution and attorney fees.

How Comfortable Are The Governing Body At Headquarter After This Massive Lay Off?

i'm sure there is a lot of concern going on among those still there.

i'm sure a lot are finding out for the first time that the governing body are all frauds by doing secure internet searches to find out just how much they been had by these villans , i think the situation could be dangerous (the possibility exist).

Their exposure as frauds is all over the place government testimony it's all public records ever where avalible on the internet with lightning speed. It is only a short matter of time before everyone at bethel knows they can't hide except in their rooms but gotta come out some time bet security is tight.

Many might seek revenge for the deception and the double cross.

I wonder if it will ever reach the point where there is massive booing going on when they address the family at headquarters? I really do think trouble has come to roost right there in the heart of spiritual paradise.

all the calendar pictures are about building wts property with cheap labor witnesses.. and then, just before the year approaches the building has halted.. it seems a short term decision.

A calendar full of reminders though out the year about how fucked up the Governing Body really is and that they don't know their ass from their elbow. Spending money on huge building projects around the world while mega bucks worth of lawsuit are starring them in the face to which I blame on denial and wishful thinking.

Evolution and Creation—both are stories!

there are number of nobel laureates and other great scientists in both the camps defending their respective theories of evolution and creation, which means both are just stories, and both suffer from having no eye-witnesses.

if either of them were true, all scientists would have accepted it unanimously as they do with rest of the laws such as law of gravity..

this does not mean that there is no god.

I think the story of evolution takes us way deeper into the mysteries of creation than the story of the bible about creation how deep can that take you when you have a bronze age Deity that just snaps his fingers and blam everything starts popping into existence in a matter of days.

Thumbs up Simon. Hatred turns into insanity sometimes and if a person can let it go and watch others handle the situation so much the better he has to rebuild his life for his son and himself and he aint' gonna be wasting any time hating.

Hating is negatively charged emotional thought which moves one towards irrational actions when in full swing or at a high level. Very little information gets to the prefrontal lobes of the brain for processing while in this state performance goes down as do ability to manage daily activity. Bad state to be in. Staying in a state of love and caring brain functions thrive and one makes much better decisions.
